Edinburgh International Airport
Edinburgh International Airport has regular scheduled services to many UK and International destinations with many flagship and budget airlines. You can take the number 100 Airport Shuttle bus which will take you to the City Centre (Waverley Train Station) (£3.50) or take a taxi direct to the University (£20-25). You can buy and print off your ticket for the Shuttle Bus in advance and for a slight discount here. Alternatively, you can take the number 35 bus from the airport that will drop you off at the top of middle meadow walk, a short walk from the conference venue. This costs £1.40 and you will need the correct change in order to buy a ticket. It should be noted that transfers in London airports should be avoided given the high volume of traffic due to the Olympics and Paralympics.
Trains come in to Edinburgh Waverley Station, and buses and coaches to the nearby St Andrews Square bus station. The University can be reached quickly by local buses from Princes Street or by taxi.
Trains: The Trainline, Virgin Trains, East Coast Trains
Taxis: City Cabs, Central Taxis, ComCab Taxis
Edinburgh is well connected to the UK road and motorway network. You can visit the University by car but parking is limited.
